I was shooting reference photos at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego one late summer’s day many years ago. When I got the prints back (this was pre-digital photography) the way the sunlight was and interacting with the lens and atmosphere created a clear beam of light coming down with what looked like a human form within it. It was quite eerie. I took some liberties when recreating the scene on canvas, but this is not that far from the original shot. While I am not religious, I am deeply spiritual. And the spirit of Divine Love represented here, whether for you it be Christ, Mary, or whomever you might see, is a powerful force in my life.
