If You Are Still

If you are still enough
it’s possible that Love will flush you out
while playing hide-and-seek
in the lush green fields
of eternity.
Or, it may be that Love
will build a nest
in the tree that has sprouted
from your kindness.
It has simply been waiting
for you to unravel yourself
long enough to take root
in the sacred crevice
where sadness has split you open.
If you are still
and soft enough, Love
will surely fly home to you.
