There are people, events and places that are so grand in their scale or so unusual in their nature that when encountered they evoke a sense of sacred reverence – as reflected in this scene. However, the people I’ve found to be most evolved are those who regard all of existence as holy. It’s easy to kneel before a temple, or a saint, or a majestic scene. But to observe a tree, an ordinary stone, or a family of strangers in a restaurant and quietly honor their presence in your heart is a completely different level of being. Einstein said, “there are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” And so it is that we approach and enter the miraculous sacredness of our own divinity.
