Several of my works feature a transparent sphere with a flame at the center. In my metaphorical artistic language, this sphere symbolizes the soul. The part of us that remains spirit-based, and serves as a guide on our journey as humans. In my understanding of spirituality and metaphysics, it is the soul that crystalizes a portion of itself and solidifies to the point of physical manifestation. The process then, of awakening or self-realization, is one of coming into communion with our soul, our higher selves. It is the process of allowing ourselves to be guided by our intuition and passion (the language of the soul) and aligned with the greater aspect of our beings that planned this life and its corresponding themes and lessons we would be experiencing in a given lifetime. It is the point at which we come to realize our eternal nature and unlimited potential.
