It is the journey and the destiny of each new generation to break at least some of the traditions and expectations of their ancestors. Without this there could be no growth or evolution of a species. In flight goggles and a determined posture, the youngest member of this family prepares to depart, much to the consternation of the elders of the flock. Ironically, we’ll often later come to appreciate the rituals and habits of our parents. But we must get a relative distance from them first, so as to separate the beliefs and customs that hold value for us from the ones that are no longer relevant or a positive force in our lives.
