This is a scene that I have had swirling around in my mind for a while. The butterfly ship being a nod to Jules Verne, the father of early science fiction. As a childhood fan of this genre, I’ve probably spent more time than most pondering life on other planets. I am also a lifelong surfer. So going with the assumption that most planets harboring organic life would also have oceans, it stands to reason that they would also have weather… and waves. Where intelligent life had not yet evolved to the advanced level of “Surfer Galacticus”, those waves would be ripe for the picking for any adventurous travelers. These two are now in the quandary of having found perfect surf, but not sure if they can breathe the air. Quite the dilemma.
