The third Forest Guardian painting. The local Capuchin Monkeys who live in the jungles surrounding my home served as the inspiration. The healer looks to the sky, to the divine light, for inspiration and guidance. He uses smoke from his pipe to cleanse and purify, as shaman have done for thousands of years. In his cup is a drink of unknown substance. It may be a psychedelic brew for accessing wisdom from other dimensions, or simply a ceremonial tea. Regardless, his intent is clear – to bring the subject of his healing back into a state of wholeness and balance. A reminder to myself to remain in that place myself as often as possible so that I can help others whenever I am called upon to assist.
